What are the matters needing attention in the water-cooled stack?

The stack is the place where the electrochemical reaction of hydrogen occurs, and is the basic and key component of the fuel cell. The importance of electricity to the hydrogen energy economy is equivalent to the position of the central processing unit (CPU) in the information industry. So, what are the precautions for water-cooled stacks?

What are the matters needing attention in the water-cooled stack?

1. The electric stacker should maintain a suitable starting speed when starting, not too fast.

2. Pay attention to the voltage of the voltmeter. If the voltage is lower than the limit, the forklift should stop running immediately.

3. During the walking process, it is not allowed to turn the direction switch to change the driving direction, which will burn out the electrical components and damage the gears.

4. Driving and lifting should not be carried out at the same time.

5. Pay attention to whether the sound of the drive system and steering system is normal. If abnormal sounds are found, troubleshoot them in time. It is strictly forbidden to work while sick.

6. Decelerate in advance when the electric stacker turns.

7. When working on bad roads, the weight should be appropriately reduced and the driving speed should be reduced.

8. When carrying goods on steep roads, pay attention to the firmness of the goods on the forks.

What are the components of a water-cooled stack?

1. Bipolar plate: The bipolar plate is the core structural component of the stack, which plays the role of uniform gas distribution, drainage, heat conduction and electrical conductivity, accounting for 60% of the weight of the entire fuel cell and 0.20% of the cost. Its performance directly affects the output power and service life of the battery. At present, the bipolar plate materials are mainly graphite bipolar plates and metal bipolar plates.

2. Membrane electrode: The membrane is the core of the stack, similar to the CPU in a computer, and determines the upper limit of the stack's performance, life and cost. The membrane module consists of a proton exchange membrane, a catalyst and a gas diffusion layer.

3. Proton exchange membrane: The proton exchange membrane is the core component of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), and the perfluorosulfonic acid membrane is the main component. At present, the localization process is accelerating. At present, the main trend of proton exchange membrane is perfluorosulfonic acid reinforced composite membrane, the proton exchange membrane is gradually thinner, from tens of microns to tens of microns, to reduce the ohmic polarization of proton transfer to achieve higher performance.

4. Catalyst: Catalyst is one of the key materials of fuel cells. At present, the commonly used catalyst for fuel cells is Pt/C, that is, a supported catalyst in which Pt nanoparticles are dispersed on carbon powder (such as XC-72).

5. Gas diffusion layer: The gas diffusion layer (GDL) is located between the flow field and the membrane electrode. Its main function is to provide a transmission channel for the gas participating in the reaction and the water produced, and to support the membrane electrode. Therefore, GDL has good mechanical strength, suitable pore structure, good electrical conductivity and high stability.
